New in Nonfiction: Colleen R. Williams
Colleen R. Williams is the author of The Quest for Truth: A Journey of Forgiveness, a recently released nonfiction book
telling her story—a story of her journey through abandonment, abuse, awareness,
courage, the search for truth, discovery, and forgiveness.
Book Synopsis:
Colleen Williams was abandoned by her
mother at the age of nine. She spent many years in and out of foster homes,
enduring all sorts of unspeakable abuse.
Forty years later, Colleen makes the
difficult decision to return to her native country of Trinidad, determined to
find unanswered questions and uncover the truth behind her mother’s
abandonment.
Over the duration of an exhaustive
search, Colleen visits one destination after another in search of answers that
hopefully give her peace. Sadly, each stop along her journey leaves her even
more lost than the one before. Still, Colleen is determined to discover the
truth behind the events that happened so long ago.
Her book takes you on this journey of
forgiveness with her, and she hopes she can reach others who may be struggling
or have struggled with abandonment, abuse, and forgiving others.
Colleen Williams was born on the
beautiful islands of Trinidad and Tobago. She is an author and an inspirational
speaker. Coming from an abusive past herself, she spent the past twenty years
traveling to jails, prisons, and battered women’s shelters, advocating for
domestic violence victims, educating them about the red flags, safety tips on
leaving, and most importantly, knowing their worth. She picked
up the pieces of her broken heart and hit the reset button again. Everything
that was meant to break her only made her stronger than before. She is moving
forward toward her purpose and breaking down doors that she thought were
closed. When she is not writing, she loves to read, travel, and teach soccer.
Her
book is available on Amazon, print and Kindle versions. She asks that you leave
a positive review and share her story with others.
